C.C. Lowell Team Members

Kristen Sciascia - Owner

I have been a part of C.C. Lowell since 1995, as former General Manager,  I purchased C.C. Lowell from former owner Bill Cavanagh in October 2012. I am so excited to be the new owner of the OLDEST art supply store in the country. My staff and I have great ambitions for the store and we hope to continue to bring you the devoted customer service C.C. Lowell has become known for, for many years to come. While I don't create as much "art" as I once did, I still enjoy being part of the process by helping others with their artistic challenges.  Feel free to contact me at the store with any questions about materials or techniques!

Jan Johnson - Professional Framer

I have been the framer at C.C. Lowell for 12 years. In that time I have  matted, framed and shadowboxed everything from an x-ray to a bear skull. Art and design have been at the core of my persona since I picked up my first box of Crayola. I studied Interior Design and practiced for a time in an architectural firm. The aspect of interiors that I most loved was textiles and later returned to study at RISD. I gained a wealth of knowledge and it comes into play every day in the selection of the right colors and combinations of framing. Any questions about framing please feel free to email me at
